These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to the products and services supplied by Northumbrian Windows Ltd ("Northumbrian Windows", "we", "us", "our"), whose registered office is at 7A Legion House, Beaufront Business Park, Hexham, Northumberland, NE46 4TU (Company No. 1057 4077, VAT Registration No. 3936 92 549). By requesting a quotation, placing an order or using this website, you agree to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK law.
We supply and install a range of windows, doors, conservatories, sunrooms and replacement conservatory roofs. Product ranges shown on this website include (but are not limited to) Smart Systems aluminium bi-fold, sliding and patio doors and windows; Roseview uPVC sliding sash windows; REHAU TOTAL70 (S706 and Edge) windows and doors; and VEKA Omnia flush-fit windows.
Northumbrian Windows may use different window and door systems to those shown on this website. Product ranges, profiles, manufacturers and specifications shown online are indicative of the type and quality of products we supply, but the exact system used for your installation may vary. Customers should always ask, where appropriate, which window or door system they wish to use or are having installed.
The specific system, profile, glazing specification, colour and finish for your project will be confirmed in writing in your quotation and order documentation before any contract is formed.
Northumbrian Windows currently registers your window and door installations with Assure (correct as of 27 July 2026), a government-authorised competent person scheme for replacement windows and doors. We may also be registered with, or advertise registration with, bodies such as TrustMark or the Guild of Master Craftsmen.
From time to time these affiliations may change or may no longer be registered. Although accreditations and memberships are shown on this website, affiliations with any relevant bodies can only be confirmed at the point of sale. If a particular accreditation, registration or scheme membership is important to your purchasing decision, please ask us to confirm its current status before placing your order, and we will confirm it in your order documentation.
While we make every effort to keep all information on this website up to date and accurate, this cannot always be guaranteed. Content on this website — including product descriptions, specifications, imagery, project photographs, accreditations, pricing indications and availability — is provided for general information only and does not form part of any contract. Images of previous installations are illustrative; finished results depend on your property, chosen products and site conditions. All details relevant to your purchase will be confirmed in writing at the point of sale.
All quotations are free of charge and remain valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. A quotation does not constitute a contract. A binding contract is formed only when you accept a written quotation and we confirm your order in writing. Your order confirmation will set out the agreed products, systems, specifications, price and estimated timescales, and will take precedence over any information shown on this website.
All orders are subject to a detailed technical survey of your property. If the survey identifies issues that affect the price or feasibility of the work, we will discuss these with you before proceeding, and you may cancel without charge if we cannot agree revised terms. Installation dates are estimates given in good faith; we will keep you informed of any changes. We carry out all work with reasonable care and skill and leave your property clean and tidy on completion.
Prices are agreed in writing before work begins and, unless otherwise stated, include materials, installation and VAT. Payment terms, including any deposit and the balance due on completion, will be set out in your order documentation.
Our installations are covered by our product and workmanship guarantee, details of which are provided with your quotation and order documentation. Certain products carry extended manufacturer warranties — Registration of your installation with Assure (or the applicable competent person scheme at the time of your order) provides certification that the work complies with Building Regulations. Guarantees do not cover damage caused by misuse, accident, neglect, or alterations made by others.
If you enter into a contract with us at your home or otherwise away from our business premises, you have the right to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Details of how to exercise this right will be provided with your order. If you ask us to begin work within the cancellation period, you may be required to pay for goods or services supplied before cancellation, particularly for made-to-measure items manufactured to your specification.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any matter for which liability cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable to both parties when the contract was formed, or for losses not caused by our breach.
If you have any questions about these Terms, our products, or the current status of any accreditation, please contact us: Northumbrian Windows Ltd, 7A Legion House, Beaufront Business Park, Hexham, NE46 4TU · 01434 601 882 · david@northumbrianwindows.co.uk. We aim to resolve any concerns promptly and fairly.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this website at the time you place your order will apply to your purchase. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
